2024 Man of Faith Scholarship Application Form

Please fill out the below application completely and truthfully.  This application will help our scholarship panel to learn more about you.  This will be used in conjunction with your letters of recommendation and interview to determine the Man of Faith Scholarship winners.  All application materials must be submitted by Thursday, February 29th, 2024.

What is the Man of Faith Scholarship?

  • The Men of Phi Kappa Theta are proud to introduce to you the 2024 Man of Faith Scholarship.

  • This Man of Faith scholarship has been created to reward incoming male freshmen who exemplify our five areas of development: Fraternal, Intellectual, Social, Spiritual, and Leadership and who have accepted an invitation to join Phi Kappa Theta as an associate member.

  • Membership in Phi Kappa Theta is not a requirement to receive this scholarship. Scholarships are awarded and distributed to students based on merit.

  • We offer one $1,000 scholarships, additional scholarships may be awarded depending upon the availability of funds and qualified candidates.

How do I apply for the Man of Faith Scholarship?

  • To apply for the Scholarship, either fill out this application using the form aboveThe application packet consists of an application and the two letters of recommendation.

    • Applications must be submitted by Thursday, February 29th 2024

    • One letter of reference must depict academics as a priority in the applicant’s high school career. This letter can be written by a teacher, counselor, mentor, etc. and should not exceed one page.

    • The second letter of reference should reflect the importance of faith in the applicant’s life. This letter can come from someone such as a mentor, youth group leader, teacher, pastor, etc. and also should not exceed one page.  A self-written essay can be substituted for this letter of recommendation and should not exceed two pages.

  • After completing the application, you will be invited to an interview hosted on campus.

    • The interview will be conducted by a selected scholarship panel and is a requirement to be eligible to receive the scholarship.

    • The interviews are tentatively set for Sunday March 24th, 2024.

  • Scholarship recipients will be notified on April 15th, 2024. Scholarships are automatically sent to Kansas State University in the name of the recipient and are applied to the student’s Fall 2024 tuition.
